Taster Sessions
If you’ve never tried archery before but just fancy giving it a go, then why not come along to a taster session. These do exactly as the name suggests, you will have the opportunity to try out archery. There is no pressure and no expectation to do anything more than come along and see if you like what archery can offer. A coach and a number of experienced archers will be available to answer your questions, provide you with the basics and to get you shooting. At Ravens, we try to run our courses on the same day as our club sessions so that you also get a chance to see what goes on at the club, and of course if you have friends already shooting you get a chance to see how they get on too!
We promote all our courses on the calendar and facebook, and they are bookable via Eventbrite.
Beginner Course
So now you’ve tried archery and just like us we hope you’re getting hooked!! But before we can let you loose as a fully fledged Raven (other clubs are available, but we hope you will choose to join us!) you need to complete a Beginners Course. The course provides you with an introduction to archery. You will learn about all the different bow types, how to shoot and stay safe when shooting.

At the end of the course you will be issued with a certificate to use as proof that you have covered all the basics of archery and are now able to join a club.
If you join us for a Taster Course, the cost is refunded on successful completion of a Beginners Course.
